Complete List Of Supported Devices For iOS 15 Update.
Apple introduces a major software update every year. And at the WWDC21 conference, the company presented the various new features of iOS 15 which succeed iOS 14.
When iOS 14 was launched last year, it brought with it home screen widgets, app library, and more. Now with iOS 15 in line, Apple has expanded the capabilities of widgets, customizations, privacy with a bunch of extra useful features to a higher level.
Complete List Of Features On iOS 15
Facetime
For starters, Facetime got a massive update with new features. The app now supports Spatial Audio, making voices feel like people are in the room with you. There is also a portrait mode option to blur the background when attending a video call.
You will now be able to share video, audio, and your screen using the SharePlay API. Third-party apps may use the Share Play API and enable this feature.
Apps like Disney +, Hulu, TikTok, Twitch, MasterClass, HBO max, ESPN + will support this feature.
Other features include: option to schedule calls, invite friends and family who are on Android phones or Windows PC, to join over the web, and the ability to take advantage of machine learning to focus on your voice.
The New iMessage

There are also multiple improvements for the iMessage app. With the new iOS, when you receive multiple photos through iMessage, they will appear as a dynamic collage that you can drag or browse to view in your Photos app, in the Shared With You folder.
Shared links, images, and other things will also be similarly presented in a new Shared With You section in the respective applications. For e.g. you'll find news articles and playlists shared through iMessage in the new Shared With You tabs in the News and Apple Music apps.
There are also new customization options for Memojis.
Notifications
Apple |
There has been quite some improvement in the notification section as well. Users shall be able to see the contact photos for people and larger icons for apps in notifications, which make them easier to identify.
Thanks to onboard intelligence, notifications are ranked in order of priority, in this way the most important notifications will appear at the top, according to the person's interactions with the different apps.
It also comes with a customizable filter allowing users to select what types of notifications they want to receive, and from whom, at specific times of the day.
The UI design of the notifications has also been revised.
The Camera App Upgrade
iOS 15 also has a revised photo application. During WWDC 2021, we got to see a demonstration that just like Google Lense the new iPhone photo app will allow you to take a photo of text and highlight it, then copy it to a document, or even translate it.
The app will use Artificial Intelligence to analyze visible elements and to recognize in particular the breed of a dog or the name of architecture, etc.
New Spotlight Search Bar
Photos are now part of the Spotlight Suggestions, so you can search for pictures taken at specific locations. The section also allows you to collect all the data that are associated with the selected contact on your smartphone.
Photos App
Improvements have also been made to the smart Photos app called Memories. You can create new slideshows and photo carousels, including music.
Support Of Extensions For Safari
Your iOS device will support extensions in Safari for the first time. So, you can choose, download and activate what you want!
The Safari browser will also have a redesigned tab bar making it easy to navigate between different tabs without interfering with your web browsing experience.
Privacy Upgrade

Apple is known to give importance and priority to the privacy of users. And so keeping the tradition, the company has included features like Mail Privacy Shield to hide your IP address and a privacy dashboard called the App Privacy Report.
