How to withdraw money from ATM machine without your ATM card
With the coming of the ATM, the races in our bank have been reduced considerably. We can withdraw money from an ATM machine at any time during the day or night and for that, we just need to have our ATM card.
But!
Sometimes it happens that you want cash but you forget your ATM card at home. This is really a very terrible situation and you regret losing your card at home.
But!
Now you don’t need to worry as some banks are offering this facility of withdrawing the money from the ATM machine without the need of the card.
Now you must be thinking how can this be true, but it is. Money without ATM card can be withdrawn.
This facility was first introduced by IndusInd Bank, a private sector bank. IndusInd Bank has named the service 'Cash on Mobile'. Similar service is being given by SBI, the country's largest bank, as an "Instant Money Transfer (IMT)" while the ICICI Bank, has named this service as 'Cardless Cash Withdrawal'.
To avail for this service, you first have to register yourself in your bank and then whenever you require you’ll be able to withdraw your cash from the ATM machine by using your registered mobile number and the bank's app.
You will not have to do much to get this facility. This registration process is very simple. It can be done by visiting your bank's branch, via internet banking or you can also call your Bank’s Customer Service Center for the registration. Once you get yourself registered in the bank, you will get a 4-digit MPIN (Mobile Personal Identification Number) which will act as your ATM PIN.
It will also be used as a user transaction security pin or as an authorization code.
Just after you complete your registration you will need to download the mobile app of your respective bank from the play store or app store. For this, your bank will send you a web link of their app via SMS on your registered mobile number.
After registration, you will get the same features and facilities that you get on your ATM Card, from your MPIN. With the help of this, you will be able to do intrabank/mobile to mobile/mobile to account fund transfer and net electronic fund transfers.
Now since you have the MPIN and the bank’s app, you’re ready to do the transaction.
With the help of this application, you will also be able to send money to the third party.
